From their teenage years, the Wahls have dedicated themselves to the equestrian sport. Mark’s family raised Hackney ponies, while Melissa grew up with Morgans. Together, they initially showed award-winning Morgan horses garnering over 40 World Championships.
In 2010, their journey took a distinctive turn towards focusing all their attention on the world of Hackney ponies. This pivot was not merely a breed change but a wholehearted commitment to excellence and beauty in a new arena. Since then, Shelby Creek Farm has evolved into a premier destination for exceptional Hackney ponies, known for their elegance, performance, and winning spirit.
